A hidden gem of Buda Castle is the enfilade, a suite of aligned rooms, of the De la Motte-Beer Palace with its original, rare 18th-century Baroque fresco decoration. In the spirit of both honouring tradition and modernity, the exhibition marking the International Year of Glass is being held at this most prestigious venue. The important stages of glass art can be traced from the 18th century to the end of the last century, while the subjects of the frescoes are complemented by sculptures by outstanding contemporary artists as well as spectacular architectural glassworks.
